This temporary opportunity offers competitive pay, flexible hours, and a fun, casual work environment. The company values its team, offering an associate discount and even a free ham or turkey breast at the end of the holiday season.
Job Duties and Daily Responsibilities
Typical shifts begin at the hub store, where you’ll load up HoneyBaked products for delivery to retail locations. You’ll complete a truck assessment and ensure items are safely loaded and secured for transport.
Driving a refrigerated truck—no CDL required—you drop off products at pop-up retail stands, then return expired product to the store as needed. Temperature logs and delivery manifests maintain high food safety standards and accountability for inventory.
Throughout the shift, you may need to lift and move products up to 65 pounds, requiring the ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods. This role is essential during the holidays, so expect some long days as the season picks up.
Applicants must be 21 or older and have a valid driver’s license and current DOT medical card. Passing a DOT drug screen and background check is also required, as is familiarity with DOT rules.
Pros of the Job
First, flexibility is a standout benefit. The schedule can accommodate students, those with other jobs, or people balancing family commitments. It’s perfect for those looking for a side gig during the holidays.
Secondly, the positive work culture and casual atmosphere create a welcoming environment. Employees mention the sense of camaraderie and appreciation among the team.
Cons of the Job
One of the main challenges is the physical demand. You’ll need to routinely lift heavy boxes and stand for most of your shift—something to consider before applying.
Another consideration is the potential for long hours as the holiday season intensifies. This role could be tough if you aren’t prepared for a busy, physically active period.
Verdict: Is This Role Right For You?
The Seasonal Delivery Driver job is a solid choice for anyone seeking short-term, flexible work with competitive pay and a friendly team. While the physical nature of the job isn’t for everyone, those who enjoy staying active will appreciate this opportunity and the added seasonal perks.
